This antique French Gothic style trunk is from the early 1700’s. It has been left in its original condition, with just a dusting and a light French wax. The only ornamentation is on the front with its two domed semicircles having quatrefoils, pointed arches, and linear scoop motifs. There is wonderful old dovetail construction with additional metal supports at the corners. There is a metal escutcheon surrounding the keyhole that has a fleur-de-lis motif at the top. This rustic antique French Gothic style trunk will be wonderful in any casual environment.

CONDITION: Good antique condition commensurate with age and use. No Key. Front apron board possibly replaced some time ago. Some nicks, scratches, and age separations as seen in photos.
