This antique table, made in the middle of the 19th century, was constructed of oak and features two long drawers at either end. The table is supported by thick, slightly rounded legs, connected by an H-stretcher. The legs terminate in large square joints resting on cylinder block feet. The length of top of the table consists of 4 individual planks of French Oak which hide two long drawers with iron pulls. Notice the thick side planks of the drawers, connected to the drawer fronts by large dove tails.
This antique table from Le Mans has a nice, waxed finish, which works well with the overall simple, yet elegant design. It would work just as well in a dark study as it would in a room with bright white walls and contemporary accessories.
CONDITION: Good antique condition with some wood worm losses as see in photos. Minor nicks and losses, scratches commensurate with age and use, overall very nice antique table with waxed finish.
