Hand-carved in Italy from six pieces of limestone, this garden bench has a shaped arched backrest and acanthus sides. The bottom of the arch of the backrest has been incised with C-scrolled edges. A thick molding follows the edges on all sides, while the arched section has been adorned with cavetto molding above two thin layers of step molding.

Both arms have similar thick molding to the backrest, with an upside-down acanthus cup finial resting above the top head of a volute scroll. The arms slope gently downwards before terminating in a larger bottom scroll with an acanthus leaf face. Underneath the arms is a 3 ¾” thick seat with quarter round edges and additional cavetto molding. Two volute scrolled legs, also with acanthus leaf facing, offer support from below. Our elegant carved stone garden bench can seat up to three adults comfortably and will make a great addition to any garden or courtyard setting.

CONDITION: Good condition with minor nicks and losses. Stone is a natural material that can become darker or lighter from the elements. Please see photos for details.
