Hand-carved in Provence, France, this unique center fountain has a rectangular basin with two different sized limestone blocks.
In the center of each side of the basin is a rectangular stone that rises above the rest of the basin stones. The taller stones are also narrower than the surrounding stones, giving the basin a distinct look. The surrounding stones also slope inwards, adding to the appeal of the fountain.
A square center post rises from the rectangular basin. The base has a molded top section and is topped by two square stones with canted edges. Two opposing sides of the topmost column stone have raised circles surrounding the two scrolled iron spouts. A wide cornice with cavetto molding supports a canted plinth surmounted by a ball finial. In total, there are 22 carved pieces of limestone that make up the fountain.
The rectangular center fountain from Provence has been hand-carved from Estaillade stone in the South of France. The cream colored stones will greatly enhance any courtyard or garden area.
CONDITION: Very good condition with intentional distress to stone. Stone is natural material that can become darker or lighter from the elements. Slight rusting to iron spouts.
