From France, this Louis XV style silvered bronze jardiniere dates to the 19th century. It was made in the late 1800’s, during a renewed interest in the great art of the 17th and 18th centuries. The motifs are those that were used during the 1700s: patterned grounds, acanthus leaves, flowers, gadrooned lobes, and more. Some of the motifs are positioned asymmetrically typical of Louis XV style of ornamentation.
This elegant Louis XV style silver bronze jardiniere will be gorgeous with flowers, dried flowers, plants, or on its own as a decorative accessory.
