This Italian walnut and chestnut wood bench comes from the N. E. part of Italy in the Dolomiti Region. The sides are made of a darker Castagno wood (Chestnut), while the center is constructed of a warm walnut with beautiful patina and wear. The center of the backrest depicts a carved shield with four quadrants showing diamond shapes. Above this, is the carved date of 1885. This unique antique Italian bench would go well in a mud room or any area needing an additional shallow seating area against a wall.
CONDITION: Good antique condition with some expected abrasions, minor nicks and losses to wood, cracks. Some old repairs.
