A fascinating triple niche Italian bookcase from the 1800s, sections of the bibliotheque are comprised of a salvaged walnut confessional dating to the 1700s. Both the crown and the apron feature several layers of molding, as well as protruding pilasters with drop-down noix. There are three compartments to the bookcase, with the outer two having four shelves each, while the middle section has two shelves above a lockable door (with another shelf inside). This would make a wonderful statement piece to a den, office, or library.
