Description

A beautiful plaster architectural from the late 1800’s, depicting a female mascaron surmounting a highly scrolled coat of arms shield. The young woman has a floral headpiece atop her head, echoing a flowering margent that emanates from the base of the shield. An egg and dart border can also be seen beneath the curled leaf sides of the shield. Our 19th century plaster female mascaron would make a unique decorative architectural in just about any room of the house.

CONDITION: Good antique condition with some fleabites and losses, most noticeably to the nose. Professional restoration to the edges for strengthening. Light buildup in some areas. A piece of wood runs along the back side for aid in installing on a wall.
