An oval nature morte carving, this French hunt plaque has a beautiful patina across several different hued woods. The plaque, which was carved circa 1880, depicts a pair of felled birds on top of oak branches over a textured background, set within an ovate frame with several thin layers of protruding molding.
CONDITION: Very good antique condition. Minor rubs, nicks, and losses. Slight age separations where sections of the frame are joined. Rigged for hanging.
