Hand-carved in Italy during the 1800’s, this gorgeous antique bathtub is made from carrara marble. The beautiful light gray stone has dark gray striations and a three inch thick half round edge above a cavetto cornice. On the front side, there are two raised rings carved in relief beneath the rolled rim that surrounds the oblong tub. The interior has a two inch diameter drain opposite from a slightly raised sitting area with an angled edge. Sometimes referred to as Roman style, the freestanding carrara marble bathtub is simplistic in its design, allowing it to be used in a contemporary or traditional style of design.
