These tall silverleaf candlesticks date to the Baroque period of Italy, circa 1680.The tall shaped and turned stems all rest upon a tripod base with projecting c-scrolls and paw feet. The motifs are primarily varying forms of the acanthus leaf, sometimes combined with egg and cabochon motifs. They retain much of their original bright silverleaf and will make a spectacular statement in any setting.
