At over 13 feet long, this grand limestone wall fountain makes quite a statement. This majestic fountain is comprised of 51 hand-carved Estaillade stone blocks from the South of France and has 3 iron spouts.
The upper cornice has been carved with cavetto molding, an architectural feature sometimes referred to as an “Egyptian cornice”. Just below the cornice is a raised quarter round ledge, which compliments the arch shaped molding above. Three evenly spaced spouts protrude from the center of floret carvings. These florets are carved in relief, by hand. At the point where the back wall meets the basin stones, there are deeply canted sides, once again mirroring the cornice molding. The sides and the front of the basin have thick molding at the top and the bottom of the wall.
The long and low form of this fountain combined with its straight lines allows it to be used in any contemporary or traditional landscape design.
Estimated fountain weight is close to 8,000 lbs.
CONDITION: Very good condition with intentional distress to stone. Stone is natural material that can become darker or lighter from the elements. Slight rusting to iron spouts. Please see photos.
