This unusual antique whiskey service set is in the form of 3 large stacked books. It is a “trompe l’oeil’ for hiding a set of six crystal whiskey glasses! The books are covered in real leather and faux leather, with delicate and complex gilded gold friezes that adorn the fronts, sides, backs, and interiors of the books. The top book is hinged and opens to reveal 6 round compartments for the glasses. The glasses themselves are of a beautiful design and have a nice deep size. The books shown represent:
Theatre Complet by Eugene Labiche, Don Quichotte by Miguel de Servantes, and Civilisation Francaise by Alfred Nicolas Rambaud
This charming French whiskey service from the 1900’s will be a very unique and decorative addition to any library, gentlemen’s office, or bar area.
CONDITION: Good condition with 2 very tiny nicks to the leather.
