Originally a French overdoor from the 1800s. this beautiful painting depicts an elegant woman holding a cello. The cellist, who is sitting in a golden chair, has flowers in her hair while wearing an orange and yellow dress with a frilly white blouse beneath. A green backdrop behind the musician provides additional color to the shapely canvas.
CONDITION: Good antique condition. Light scratches and small paint losses. Minor existing touchups to the canvas, most likely done when the canvas was affixed to a more recent stretcher.
