17th Century Tapestry Fragment from Flanders

From the 1600’s, this fabulous tapestry fragment features a group of people and a gentleman being pulled in a wooden cart to the right forefront.  Behind him is a person with a crown, while another person to their left looks on.  To the left forefront is the main figure - a gentleman draped in heavy robes.  This might have been a tapestry depicting some type of Royal procession.  The tapestry has been lined and is framed in a two tone border.  Flanders was known for its premier weavers during this period, as well as its clients of Royalty and the wealthy.

CONDITION: Good antique condition with minor loose areas, and minor staining to borders. Lined and has velcro stip for optimal hanging
