Pair of Antique French Gilt Bronze Candelabras

This elegant pair of antique French gilt bronze candelabras date to the 1800s. Each has seven arms with grape motifs and one candle cup at the top center. Bobeches are beneath each candle cup.   The focal point of each is the group of three cherubs holding draped floral and foliate garlands. The top candle cup and bobeche rests upon a small stylized urn over a fluted column. There is another small stylized urn at the top of the tripod base that the cherubs rest upon.  Beneath this are decorated panels with curling ribbons and more garlands. The stepped out base that all of this rests upon, has three winged lions on each corner connected by reticulated foliate scrolls.

These wonderful candelabras will highlight any surface they are placed upon.

CONDITION:  Minor surface buildup, wear, and tarnish to bronze in areas commensurate with age.  Holes are on the base where electrification was done at one point. Garlands that cherub hold become loose upon handling, but fit well, and will stay put once placed in your home.
