19th Century French Iron Balcony Console with Limestone Top

From France, this delicate and beautiful balcony gate with scrolling motifs has been made into a console table. Originally, the front portion was a balcony gate on a building in Paris from the 1800s. The gate is completely hand wrought iron with pinned connections (except for newly added iron console table bars). The center front consists of a Fleur de Lis made from metal acanthus leaves and iron bars. To either side of this are more symmetrical C and S scroll motifs. We have added a simple rectilinear iron frame as well as a thick cleft edged natural limestone top. This fabulous console is only 12 inches deep, which allows it be placed in numerous areas, and it will be a focal point wherever it is placed.

CONDITION: Very good antique condition with minor some surface buildup, and rust. Weld marks where new bars were added to form table
