Set of 8 Pegged Oak and Tapestry Covered French Os De Mouton Dining Chairs

This classic group of 8 French Os de Mouton oak dining chairs have been upholstered with machine made verdure tapestry. The tapestries are attached to the frames with hundreds of brass nailheads, and the oak frames are carved in a style which originated in France during the reign of Louis XIII, around 400 years ago. They are called Os de Mouton, which translates to mutton bone. It's a simple style of chair that works with many different tables and interiors. They date to the early to mid 20th century, and they are quite comfortable.

CONDITION: Very good condition with minor wear, and some evidence of old glue to some frame joints
