Set of Four Antique Carved Giltwood Coat of Arms Plaques from Spain, Circa 1890

These stunning giltwood Coats of Arms Plaques date to the late 1800’s and are from Spain. Two of the Coats of Arms have motifs that are the reverse of the other two. There is a stylized crown at the top of each piece, while the center shield is supported by a dog and lion. Each shield is divided into quarters, depicting a sun’s face, a star, an animal trotting, and two lions with stars over a chevron. The crinkled ribbon motto is attached to two foliate C-Scrolls.  Each plaque has a type of hardware for hanging. These four Coats of Arms have beautiful gold leaf and will be very decorative plaques in any area of the home. It is rare to find a set of four such as these.

CONDITION:  Good antique condition with some losses to motifs and losses to gilding. Please see photos.
