Pair of Circa 1800 Walnut and Pine Doors from Spain

From Spain, these wonderful doors with geometric patterns have been made from walnut wood and pine. As with many architectural elements, starting in the 16th century, and including doors, characteristics included symmetry, order, and proportions. Diamond shaped motifs have been carved into the recessed walnut areas throughout both doors.  Every other row has the same shape and size of motifs allowing for a more interesting pattern.  Each door frontage has five iron hinges all having the same shape. The door handles and back plates are unique to each door. Today these beautiful 200 year old Spanish doors can be used anywhere in a home.  They could also be used as a headboard for a bed.

CONDITION: Old restorations, old worm losses and wear to wood. Some Evidence of old hinge straps on back of doors. Please see photos.
