Circa 1910 Neo-Gothic Terra Cotta and Plaster Pedestal from France

This wonderful pedestal is in the Gothic style and is composed of four combined columns, and a decorataive capital. Atop the pedestal is a square top with canted corners. This would be the surface for displaying a statue, bronze, or some other piece of art. Of course the pedestal can also be a standalone architectural piece. The four columns fit into two quarter round shaped moldings, one larger than the other. The base matches the top with canted corners. Plaster has been applied in certain areas to add interest and likely help solidify.

Pedestals can be used anywhere in the home.  This one is particularly interesting with its Gothic architectural style and terra cotta and stone coloration.

CONDITION: Good, strong condition. Minor chips and holes to finish. Some missing motifs. Please see photos.
