Antique French Reconstituted Stone Architectural Plaques, Circa 1900

These two splendid, reconstituted stone architectural plaques from France depict faces of a man and a woman on stylized cartouches.  They were used outside, most likely as building ornaments. This is confirmed by the natural aging and patina we see on the surface of the stone. There are holes bored into each on the front and back for attaching them to an interior or exterior wall. Beautifully detailed, these antique French stone architecturals will add character to any area they are placed.

CONDITION: Good antique condition with weathered surfaces from being outside. Minor areas of missing motifs, rubs, and chips to stone.
